Prize money is not my goal although it comes in handy. I have always been competetive & it's the thrill of winning that I like especially since at my age a soak in the Hot Tub is a #%#%WILD#%#% Sat night. LOL *4U

Congratulations, Lilian, what a nice collection. Can you enlighten me on one point, what order do red, white and blue come in from best to somewhat less outstanding?

Blue is 1st or best, red is 2nd, next to best & white is 3rd.
One thing that irks me is if there is only one of something u have entered they never give u 1st, it's always 2nd or no ribbon.. They say they do not have anything else to compare it with, I don't think that's fair, either it's good work or it isn't.

Cincy I ws in 4-H also as a young girl. If memory serves me right it was 1948 when I first joined. the quilting, sewing & crochet came from my Grandmother at a very early age she started me. Cross stitching she started me out on flour sack dishtowels which I had to sew the hems in first. She ironed the pattern on. I remember I had the hardest time keeping the thread from knotting and a thimble was an absolute must. It kept falling off. *4U

Lillian, You should be very proud! Of course, everything that I have ever seen of your projects have always been beautiful. I wish I had a tenth of your talent AND patience. The picture of the Biltmore "Castle" should be on display inside of the place! It is out of this word beautiful and I can't even see it up close. You are a perfecionist and it shows in all your work!
