Ok, I have been asked by a friend to create an image (mostly lettering) that she wants to have made into patches thyat her employees can iron on to their shirts, scrubs... etc. I need to know how to create a patch like embroidery. And what do I use on the background so that it can be ironed on? As I type this I can kind of think it through on how to do the patches, but still would love some feed back. Thank you cuties!!!

I do patches as an appliqué design, only difference the background is tear away stabiliser - black for a dark background. I iron on two layers of 'steam a seam' or 'vliesofix' whatever it's called where you live. leave the last paper backing on, write instructions - press for 8 seconds with your iron set at ** (if it has those symbols) or synthetics (if it has not).

Steam a seam is in the notions. This weekend JoAnne's has the notion wall on half price (well, buy one get one free) so check it out if there's one of the stores near you.
