Thankyou Veronica, It makes life soooooo much easier to just go straight to the one place to look. I also love that the general is JUST general now. I love that if I want to see if I can help somebody out, I don't have to muck about searching through alsorts to find them.

Instead of giving the new or unexperienced members a scold for "wrong" posting you can easily add some correct tags yourself. I tried this here and now you are under freebies, posting and rules as well.
Did you recognize how shy some postings got? Beginning with apologies for bothering anyone?
Too many rules and too much thinking about "correctness" kills creativity.
And: I love the freebies section, of course.

Oh, honey, I hate to see apologies, when they are doing us a favor, I am not trying to be mean, but since I receive emails about my postings I do not want someone else to go thru the same bad experience. I am so sorry, it was not my intention to hurt anyone.!!!!!

Maria, you can't know what you don't know. Some folks just haven't seen the tutorials that Marji has done that are listed on the left. We can be welcoming and warm and let them know in a kind way where the freebie posts are to go. Perhaps as a welcome in the body of their posting?

Yes, it's a learning curve. The freebie section is just wonderful, so nice to just go hunting when you have time, and just answer questions here when you have time, it's just super! But maybe some people haven't been on in a while, and missed Veronika's post, or just don't know how to do it. How about if I bring Veronika's original post back to the top, and my tutorial back to the top as well. When I catch the posts, I usually try to add a link to my tutorial to explain where to put the freebies, but I don't see all of them sometimes. You could help with that, Maria, and everybody; if you see posts that belong in freebies, mention it kindly and put in the tutorial link. I think it's just needing to educate, and when we welcome new people, maybe that link should be given them as well. I try, but don't always catch everything. Have a beautiful day, everybody!!!
