Its an age since I saw it produced BUT to my memeory it is layers of material sewn together and slashed, the fabric frays and after a brush produces the chenielle effect, so choose some fabrics that fray well in the mix you choose. Hope it works well and let us see the outcome

I have seen what you describe, but this is only one layer of fabric on the under side of the jean leg. Then the jean is cut to make the chenille. But thanks bunches for your help. :-)

Well, I don't remember this at all, but you've asked your question in the right section, anyway. I hope somebody can remember, sounds interesting. Hugs, Marji

The tutorial showed a jeans leg with a piece of fabric sewn to the underside, face up. Then the fabric was sewn to the leg, then stitching on top. When the denim was cut, it frayed..after washing and kinda made faux chenille.
It was just adorable and is making me
crazy...tee hee I'm beginning to think I dreamed it...sigh...or perhaps it was added to another topic?

Believe it or not I've got part of an article sitting in front of me on the subject. I cut it out for something on the other side of the page from Sewnews August/September 2009. I'm trying to find the rest of the article online. I'm open to help.
Here is a link mentioned in the article.

I remember posting a site about blue jeans but I don't know how to find things that I have posted before. Also, I don't know if it was the site you are referring to. If I find out, I'll repost it here. GG
