Mine did the same thing,in the middle of a design also. In the meantime check this site.Lots of things to make by hand. Look under free open patterns.

Lynn, so sorry to hear about your machine, mine did the same , while I was doing a design.(about 2 weeks ago)

I took out the hoop - checked were I was with the design, switched it off. Gave it a clean, found thread under the bobbin case, switched it back on and it has been working fine since.

So sorry to hear, but I suppose our machine's are sensitive to anything, our husbands "mutterings" as well. LOL

I'm sorry mysew, I had to take mine to the Dr. last week but got it back the next day. My husband says" it hasn't been in 6 mos.. It just gets lonesome to see the fix it man." Sometimes I think hat is true. Sat. I couldn't get it to do right for anything. Sun. it did a beautiful job, same hoop, design, towel everything AARRRRGG No different than Sat. Sometimes I think it's as contrary as me, an old woman. LOL I hope u get yours back soon. *
