Well - good question, I have not done one, but I don't see why they would not work with a heavy duty cutaway. I am hoping someone can give us an answer. **2U

Good morning!! Try stitching the designs on tulle(bridal veiling). The tulle can be cut away and should hold the design together. You can also cut the excess away with a stencil burner if the tulle is nylon. Use two layers if needed.<br />Have a Great Day!!!!! Lou

Sally, it is - in my humble opinion - that they would be stitched on organza - then a layer of plastic vinyl (for the glass effect) and then layers of colored organza for each of the colors in the stained glass. What did the designer suggest?

If I remember right, Suz from BFC suggested organza for the stained glass designs. Usually, when the freebie is at the bottom of a set of designs, there are suggestions for doing the designs up at the top, in the paragraph before you get to the designs. BFC has some stunning stuff, so be sure to post, Sally, in the Projects when you're done. They have a great Yahoo Group, too, big help when you do their designs. Hugs, Marji

Ok, here's the link to BFC's "Wisteria" Tiffany stained glass window, with a freebie at the bottom of the page. In the paragraph at the top, Suz says she sewed it out on heavy satin, and also tried one on pink sparkle organza with WSS. Just remember, there's a difference between a design which is a picture of a stained glass window, which this is, and a design which is meant to BE like a stained glass window. Have not done any but the tulle route sounds like a good way to me *

I have not put anything up on Cute for a while, as
I lost my husband in March, and it has been very hard to concentrate on any hobbies. I have however
put 95 projectss up in the past, and about 5 of these are stained glass designs from BFC. They have
all been embroidered on Cream curtain lining which
is completely covered in embroidery. When finished, they have been framed behind glass, and have been
much admired. You can see them if you look through
the projects that I have put up in the past.
