Is it my imagination? Think I saw a warning about buying from a specific site...bought some...and now someone went onto a gambling site with my credit card!! (Maybe the intention was to give me a share if they had won - they obviously did not!!)

Suzette, I am so sorry that happened - I would have never thought that it would - most of them are blind - the cc info in coded and they can not see it. I guess that cc has now been cancelled - correct?

I am soo sorry to hear that Suzette! I know here in the states we are only liable for about 50-100 dollars on the unauthorized use. Is it like that for y'all? I pray this is all resolved easily and quickly for you. I can't help but I will give you a +2*, maybe that will brighten your day dear one!

Thank you to all for your care and concern! Then maybe it was something else I bought and not embroidery designs...have contacted the bank, completed "dispute" forms and cancelled the card.

If I'm remembering right, the warning was that someone went to one of those Chinese sites, and then their credit card got used by someone in China to buy thousands in electronic equipment. I don't know that they made a purchace, the information was apparently stolen from their computer while on the site. IF I'm remembering right, big IF. I never give credit card information out, except Embroidery Library, I always use PayPal. And I have a card that I use exclusively for internet, so I can cancel it right away and not have a hassle with my everyday card. The internet is convenient, but it is not safe, please remember you have to protect yourself out there, not everybody is nice! Hugs, Marji

Well, every time I think I MAY use my card on line, someone has something like this happen. I don't get anything from anywhere unless I can call & give them my credit card number. BUT Marji has a good suggestion. I have also been told this by friends that use the net to buy. Have a seperate card BUT also place a fairly low limit on it so IF the info is stolen at least they won't get a lot of things! You pay it off each month anyway, so the limit won't limit YOU but may someone else! I'm so sorry this happened to you.
