and re-growing her fur from the operation, gaining back her weight, being happy, running, playing, generally being "herself" again, and I've been so happy. I thank God every time I see the little 'miracle cat' acting like she always did. She goes outside now again, but I live on 8 acres, it's safe for her, I'm not in a city where she could be hurt. Tuesday, when I went looking for her to come in, I found her lying in the grass sleeping. When I picked her up, she meowed, and didn't want me touching her leg. I took her in the house and examined her thoroughly, didn't find any bites or wounds, no bee stings, nothing. But she was favoring the front and hind legs on one side. Her claws still aren't sharpened from her surgery trim, and I know she loves to run up trees, so I thought maybe she took a tumble. I've kept her quiet, and in her own room so no one else will bother her. But this morning, she's having a hard time standing on any leg, and doesn't want me touching them. When I do, she shakes like she's in awful pain. I need to call the vet and get her in, of course. But I also need some prayers, and so does she. I don't want to believe God would let her be saved from the cancerous tumor just to take her away from me in another way. I know she's not a person, but being childless these are my only "kids". I'm really having a hard time today, for a lot of reasons, I'd just appreciate some prayers & hugs. Thanks, Marji

Dear Marji,
Of course I'll pray for her and for you.
I've lost some kitties to disease and injury, and felt just like they were my own dear offspring.
Love,
Jacqueline

Oh Marji, it is so hard. I will be praying for you and Minou! I totally understand as we were childless for over 12 years before our daughter. I was a professional horse trainer and have always been an animal lover. We love them as family because they are just that. Take your baby into the vet, we will pray for wisdom and peace for you. love, judy

Thank you all so much! Minou and I just got back from the vet, and she thinks Minou had a small stroke, a TIA. Sometimes even people when they have such major surgery as she did will throw a clot, and we think that's what happened, thank God. Sounds funny to thank God for a stroke, but the cancer coming back was a whole lot scarier thought. She can rest, and eat to her heart's content, and I can get her to do little exercises, and just let her lie on her furry bed and be pampered, chances are nothing will get worse. My vet is checking with the vets in Buffalo, where she had her surgery, to see if they recommend teeny teeny doses of baby aspirin to keep it from happening again. So I can baby her, and love her, and it didn't cost me an arm and a leg again! Wow, now that's really good luck! So thank you for your continued prayers, I do know that prayer is effective, and it makes me feel better to know that you guys understand that she's not "just a cat." Thanks from the bottom of my heart! Hugs, Marji

People that does not have animals won't understand that a cat or dog become like one of your children. Always looked at people that is spoiling their dogs and said I will not do the same, but believe me it is happening. Hope your little friend is well. Elize

Hi Marji,

Thanks be to God for the healing of Minou - I know a stroke is nothing to sneeze at, but as you said at least it's not the cancer returning. I pray that Minou will enjoy her pampering! We all spoil our animals - Bella sleeps with us and I wouldn't have it any other way - well she sleeps across the bottom of the bed on my legs! Dogs, cats, any animals are all God's creatures and isn't it lovely for us to spoil them?

Thoughts, love, hugs and prayers being sent your way.

Love and blessings Chris

I am so happy that you got good news (if you can really call it that). I have a cat that had the same symptoms and it turned out to be a blood clot in his leg. He is now several pounds thinner because he is on a diet and he takes heart medicine every day so it does not happen again. It has been over a year now and he is doing good. So keep the faith! I will continue to pray!

Oh dear Marji, your darling little girl has got you hoodwinked - she loved all that attention she got when she was so ill, and she aims to keep things that way, haha! So pleased that the cancer has not returned. Big hugs from me to Minou, she's a smart and brave little kitty.

Sweetie, you know that you have my heartfelt thoughts and prayers all the time, you just keep believing for that miracle. God knows and understands our problems.

Much love and hugs to you darling Marji, just hang in there, you have a lot of friends barracking for you.

Marji I'm glad Minou is better & u were quick to find her problem. Being a cat lover I know how u feel. When my Henry died with a heart attack after my husband died with the same thing I never replaced Him. My oldest daughter is very allergic to cats & that in itself is a problem so I am without a furry little love. Hug Minou for me. Lillian *4U

Thank you all again, I do so appreciate your good thoughts and prayers. Minou is curled up in her basket resting. This is the only time I can give her affection, is when she's ill, otherwise she's "big bad feral cat" and not interested. She's a funny girl, for all that she's so stand-offish, she knows I will help her, I will come and find her if she's lost, I will be her friend, not try to be her 'master'. We'd go for walks in the woods, Minou walking with me like a dog would, and all of a sudden she'd be up a tree. Then she'd cry for me to help her down. Now, this cat could get up and down a tree as a 6 weeks kitten, I've seen her do it. I see her do it all the time. But every once in a while, she needs proof that I will indeed come rescue her, wherever she is. More goes on in those little fuzzy heads than we think, or so I believe. Right now I need to coax her to eat, and I'm cooking chicken for her. Her eye is watering on one side, and she's drooling a tiny bit from that side, so I'm thinking that's the stroke side, because the legs on that side are weak, too. She's got a bit of trouble bending down to the dish to eat, so she eats lying in her bed, she can manage that better. I'm letting her rest and recover, which I'm sure she will, she's such a little fighter. And I'm loving her, keeping her warm and safe, and keeping that dratted kitten away from her. So funny, how much Polly looks like Minou, a little "mini-me". Polly's getting old enough now to really understand things. Yesterday was the first day I let her out of her room and picked her up to cuddle, and she cuddled me back! Usually, kittens are "let me go, let me go, things to do, places to be, mouses to kill!!!"
But just for a minute, Polly nuzzled my cheek, licked me, and was happy to see me, as her friend, before she dashed off to play. I know, it won't change the world, but it's a bit of comfort in what can sometimes be a lonely place. We all thank you for your caring. Hugs, Marji, Minou, Polly and the rest of the gang.

Marji, I am so sorry to read about your baby, but I am also so happy that she is better, and healing. I do believe that God put animals on earth to love us as unconditionaly as we love them.
I know that if my little Suzie (doggie) should become sick, I will also go to the end of the world to care for her.
I wish that you will still have many more happy years to spend with her and your other babies. Lots of hugs (for all), and may God bless.

Baby girl is hanging in there, cuddling and sleeping, having her breakfast in bed, hee hee hee. She went out to sleep in the sun on the porch yesterday. She just doesn't understand when that leg buckles under her and she lands on her face. Just like a person, it'll take rest and time and use of the legs, but it's so very hard to see her this way. Of course, she's not worried about it, just mommy is. She's content to sleep where she wants, get up when she wants, eat when she wants. I know she'll be fine, but I don't like waiting. The only good thing is that she lets me cuddle her when she's not feeling 100%, hee hee hee. When she's well, then she's big bad feral cat, miss touch-me-not. So I'm singing to her, and petting her, and she's drinking warm cream when she wants to. What a life! Thanks for the support, I really do need it, appreciate it a lot! Hugs, Marji
