Has any CUTIE ever had trouble with their PED-Basic software opening their designs? I am trying to open probably 500+ designs on my probable HD. TIA ;D

I haven't had any problems with mine. What version of PED are you using? The only suggestions I can make are to double-check that you have the correct embroidery extension (PED will read .pes only . . .at least as far as I know). Make sure the size of the file is correct for your machine. How are you trying to open - via USB port? Have you double-checked your connections? Have you used it before (thus you would know the installation is correct). I feel for you - do you have any hair left? I'd be pulling mine out, for sure.

Thanks, I had mines for 2+ yrs and never had any problem until now. I have some products that I want to get done and everything wants to act up...LOL However; it is opening now but I had to think negative. I pray it stay good. The version is 1.07 ;D *2U

Yesterday I used my daughter's PED-basic 1.0 to give her some designs I made while visiting her - in Norway, hardly any internet now, but some time to digitize - No problem at all, but then I did not use an external HD.
