I picked up the freebies of the buttons that cute had for their birthday & also the ones you have in "Designs by Cuties". I am making some new cushion cases for my daughter (the one that's pregnant), she wanted to put buttons in 3 spots across the flat to botton the flap part down. My thought.... being careful of buttons around & bubs being around soon (NOT a good match), I offered to embroider fake buttons & then put press studs underneath to fasten the flap down. This could be done with a lot of things that you want to look like the item is decorated with buttons & still have safety in the home.

Regards,
Reggie

Dear Reggie,
What a wonderful idea, to use 'velcro' or similar product instead of using real buttons when a baby is in the household and to embroider the fake buttons on top.

Thankyou Jacqui,
Yes, she is due in 11 1/2 weeks & counting down...lol. she is being tested for diabetes next week... her blood sugars were a bit high... hopefully it will just be diet for her. I have been a diabetic for 6yrs now & am still diet controlled. I'm hoping this is only while she is pregnant.

I will pray that it is only while she is pregnant. I am insuline dependant, and I hate it. Good for you in keeping it diet controlled, you do not want to go the insuline way. Hugs and God bless.

they were in a set of 5 different colours, I deleted all but 2 so it would fit in my hoop & spaced them apart. They had 4 holes in the buttons I think with red, blue, yellow????? from D by C. if they are the ones.....

What a fabulous idea Reggie. I think it will also hold better. I would like to use velcro too. Hugs and God bless.
