I am a paid member and I logged out then tried to download a Design By Cuties. It appeared that I could download but then it went to a blank page. But that means I wasn't logged in even as a non-paying member so it probably doesn't answer your question completely.

I don't believe you have to have a paid membership to Cute Embroidery to get the free Designs by Cuties, any more than you have to be a member to download the free designs. Make sure you are logged in, first. When I download designs from anywhere, I save them into the folder they're going to live in, so I don't have to move them around. Are you sure the software you're trying to open designs with is working? I use Janome's Digitizer Pro, and it's loaded onto my C drive. I MUST keep designs in folders right on C, or Digitizer can't find them, tells me they don't exist. It couldn't find a design if I put it on my desktop. Good luck, let us know how you make out! Normally when I download files they go to my desktop, but for some reason they went to my documents in a download folder which I don't recall having before. Normally I then move them from the desktop to the folder for that design style like, christmas etc. But this time they went to the folder in my documents for downloads. go figure don't know how or why still. Now I gotta figure out how to put them where they go.When I first started downloading emb files I just stuck them in my documents without organizing them Big mistake. It took me forever to get them in some kind of order. Still not sure if I have them all organized. Wanna help, if you can tell me a better way to organize I will be greatful. Again thanks 10*for you. I am not a full member of Cute but I downloaded a design from the Designs by Cuties section without issue. Check your temp file on your computer to see if it is there. My vista program gives me a pop-up that asks where I want to save a file or just open. Choose your location and then click save. I may be oversimplifying your question so forgive if I point out the obvious. Not being a techie person, I always look to the obvious before I cry out to my dear hubby or daughter. Hope this helps and if not that another Cutie with knowledge on a true solution for you! *4U while you wait!

A paid member can download ALL designs even the ones marked 'Voting not available'(past & future) for six months from when membership is paid for. If you are a joined member only (signed in & not paid $) you can download the daily free designs only which are found in each section eg Designs, Redwork, Alphabets etc. Best of luck. *4u

Nannie, being a paid member I'm not entirely sure about this but I think after u log in you can DL those designs. Some of the other QTs will know for sure. BTW u have a PM *4U

Well thanks all Cuties I found that the downloads went straight to my documents to a download folder. This has never happened to me before, they are always on my desk top. Had to call my son and he told dear old mom how to find them. I am not a computer genius by far I have learned from my children. Thank God for my children. But I thank all of you for your support and help.

Now that u have found your designs that u downloaded as your son to help u make folder & sub folders e.g. Folder 'Designs' Sub folder 'Cute Embroidery Designs' Sub folders for Cute ED 'Designs' & 'Redwork' & 'Alphabets' etc (U will need subfolders under Alphabets for different Alphabets. Make it easier to find later & u will always know where to find then. Make sub folders under 'Designs; for other sites u go to. Best of luck. *4u

I already have folders and sub folders maybe not quite as good as they should be. But I can find things a little better. I have been reading tips on here and think I will purchase the program that shows a pic of the design in your files. I think that would be the next best thing to sliced bread as they say. I can only imagine how wonderful it would be to see the design without having to connect my Smart Box to the computer to make sure I am looking at what I want or need without going bonkers trying to find a design.*4u Sara Thanks Again
