the competition will be stiff.
I just returned from about 30 hours in the hospital and now have doctor's orders. Started having some chest and shoulder pain yesterday afternoon and my husband insisted he was taking me in. Urgent Care did an assessment, sent me to the Emergency Room, and they admitted me for a stress test. My cardiologist came in this morning and told me the stress test wouldn't tell him what he needed to know, so he suggested I have a heart catheterization and that was done this afternoon. No problems identified!! But he sent me home on a fat-free, salt-free diet (which I have pretty much been on for quite some time), and urged me to drop some pounds. What an added encouragement.
I'll see if I can post a challenge sheet in the next couple days. I'm going to start off on the Cabbage Soup Diet first and then do an Adkins for a while. I'll see how that goes. My main problem is that I eat a lot of almonds. Unfortunately many of them have chocolate on the outside.
Thanks to all for joining in - and a very special thank you to Meganne for her wonderful suggestion.
I am going to try and avoid any fad approach, planning to stick to limiting portions and moving more. Please take care of yourself and find a good vitamin supplement!
I eat the almonds too, never had them with chocolate by God's grace....no doubt that would be addictive! I buy the raw ones from Costco, 3LBS. at a time. Gee ya think that's a problem? Blessings! love, judy
Almonds are supposed to be extremely healthy and great for your heart. Guess that means that it is so easy to LOVE them.
Thanks to everyone for the support.
Love to all!
