another brand to buy that is not as expensive and works as good as 505. Any input will be appreciated.

I use gluesticks. They don't gunk up my needle or my hoops.

What ever is on sale and is water soluable. Allenes makes one, also Scotch and I believe Elmers does too. Now they won't hold a leather jacket but they work great on T-shirt knits and applique. I use my coupons from JoAnns and buy multi packs.

You can get it for $13.99 at Shoppers Rule. I've added the link below for you. I buy most of my embroidery needs from them and still save money even though postage to Australia is expensive.

I use "Tempo Spray". I get it from a wholesaler in Canada called CanSew. Try cansew inc.
Don't know anywhere else.
