My goodness - too much rain in one area and not enough in the other. Bless you all. *4U

There are some missing folks down near Atlanta and I believe 3 of them are children. Schools have been shut down here for 2 days, so I have had a fun beginning of the week with a houseful of boys, but thankfully we are on high ground and everyone is ok near me.

Glad to hear you are ok. Hadn't seen a posting lately and wondered about you.
So sad for the loss of life, take care of yourself. Grateful you and your family are high and dry! Blessings and prayers.

Hi Gerry, just saw the morning news about all the rain in Georgia and the loss of lives. So sorry to see it happening - if it's not rain, it's fire. We are having the worst dust storm here in years. I have taken pictures, but they won't do justice to what it looks like. Very eerie.
My heart goes out to all those people whose lives have been affected by the heavy downpours. God bless all the relief workers and volunteers.

I just saw this post. I am in Loganville, Ga. I didn't have any water damage at my home, but my daughter had some water to come through the foundation in one corner of her basement. She and my son-in-law thought they got it up sufficiently, but now she discovered mold and they have already removed sheet rock or dry wall and carpet. Since the area has suffered such devastation and the foundation experts are backed up with more jobs than than can handle, she will have to wait until the end of Oct. before they can come. Also, my sweetie's daughter had major water damage in her basement. Her husband is a Ga. Tech engineer graduate and refuses to get professional help. He kept talking about the water table level of water. So we took a large roll of plastic and my sweetie put it against her house where the water was coming in. Naturally this is only temporary, but it kept more water from coming in as it was raining as my sweetie put it down. We came back home and realized that you can't help people like that.
