This quilt I finished in July just before she was born. I used my embroidery machine to appliqué the ballerina slippers, butterflies, ladybugs, hearts and the embroidery designs for each letter. I even used software to make the black lab. It was not perfect but a good first attempt.

Well done "Alexgrandma" - for your first quilt you did a great job. I can't tell that the dogs aren't perfect - and I never make a perfect quilt - I always make a little quirky piece for each person to locate. That way it is very unique! I am not sure how the saying goes, but I believe the Amish have a saying that nothing is perfect only God. And that is why they never make perfect quilts.
I am sure Charli will have many years wrapped up in this quilt knowing it was sewn with love.

You did a wonderful job. I have a top waiting for my Darling Son-In-Law to committ to the babies name. My daughther has said what it will be, but wants to wait for him to be sure. Maybe I'll give it to him when he starts school?
