done for a bowl is not as nice on the bottom as the top. Could it be a tension problem?

Sonje, I would use the 'top' part of the bottom for the inside of the bowl, because that's what you'll be seeing. Maybe someone who has done more lace can answer your question about the difference between the two sides. Show your bowl in projects when it's done! Hugs, Marji

Wellllllllllll I use the best side for the outside as i put stuff(soap,dish clothes,etc.)inside the bowl & you can,t see the sewing soooooooooo my best side is outside CArolyn

Sonje, that becomes a perferance - if the inside is going to be seen more - that is side that you have as your top - if the outside will be - because you are using the inside - then that is the side that you have as your top. Not sure why you wouldn't be able to use either side - you might let the designer know that there is some difference. It might be your tension setting, too.
