An option I tried when I had a similar situation was to call and beg from a neighbor. LOL Glad you had serger thread you could use.

You can use the serger thread in your regular machine. Set your serger next/behind your machine and run the thread from the serger, using the thread tree to keep the thread spooling off right if you don't have a thread stand. Serger thread works fine, you could also just wind a few bobbins and run that on your machine.

Keep the machine cleaned out well when using the serger thread Monica. It has more fuzz & lint than reg. emb. thread but u should be able to use it. *

Monica, you can always use any other thread that you might have - just remember it is not embroidery thread - it will not look the same - it might be the same color - but it has no shine and it will not reflect the light - which embroidery thread is known for - but in a pinch - it can work. I like using it with my FSL Doilies - as it give the look of vintage work. And as Lillian mentioned - clean you machine and bobbin area - if you use it in the bobbin and behind the needle, too. You can collect lots of fuzz from this thread, when using it in your embroidery machine. *4U Shirlene

Oh, I know the feeling!! Don't have a colour to do faces/hands, etc... That's why I can not wait... flying to SA on Friday, and then straight from the airport to an embroidery shop....!!!

Could you run your thread through one of those paper polystyrene things - some of the stuff over here in boxes is made from potatoes and you can actually eat it. I've been told to thread a needle with the thread you want to use and pull it through the shaped thing (for want of a better name) it's actually meant to keep kinks out of your embroidery thread, but I was wondering whether or not it may reduce the "fluff" etc on the serger thread? I suppose it's worth a try.
