Carolyn, there are so many different ones that I would suggest that you find a dealer who also carries frames and go and test drive several and see what you like. It's like everything else....we each have a favorite.;)

we made our own 4 post and a spike in the top with
your long flat boards that you attach the quilt to and 4 clamps to hold them in place . some people attach material to the long boards to pin your quilt to . i just thumb tack my quilt bottom to the boards then lay your cotton on then thumb tack your top on . tjen when you want to roll it undo the clamps at one .roll it then keep it tight and put your clamps back on

Are you asking about machine quilting or hand quilting??? I have a machine quilting frame but know nothing about hand quilting.
