It was the power board that burnt-out and the drive itself was fine. After some research on the possible problem, I took it to a local computer repair shop. The technician agreed with what I'd found out on the net. He removed the drive from it's original case and put it in a new case (the case includes the new power board). I didn't loose a bit of data. It only cost me $80 including the new case, and he had it back to me in a few hours.
