I'm so glad your sister's surgery was ok, when this is all over she'll be glad she did it! For now, tell her to ask for more pain meds! She shouldn't be in a lot of pain, they usually give you enough meds to be comfortable. The body heals better without the stress of really bad pain. She won't be taking them very long, it'll soon be better. Tell her not to try and 'tough it out', they're not passing out medals for that any more, hee hee hee. She needs pain-free rest to heal. I know she'll be getting it. Soon she'll be up and dancing again, just like a teenager. My girlfriend had this surgery, said it was incredible how much better after all was said & done. One of my dearest friends had both knees done at once and she said the trick was to take the pain med so that it has a chance to kick in before you have to get up and move around with the PT's, but she's probably figured that out by now.;)

Suzanne, this sort of surgery goes very well - the healing is what takes the time and patients - I will continue to pray for yous sister. *4U
