Is there a way to determine right/wrong side on other fabric, when it is not obvious? I appreciate your time in answering me! Have a great weekend! Suzette

As far as I know there is no right or wrong side to craft felt. There are washable felts now. You have to check the instructions when you buy it.

Hello Suzette, I do not think there is a actual wrong or right side, but washing will damage felt if it is not the washable, as sewmom said, if you can find the washable, try that rather, but wash in cold water, and do not wring. I have made the discovery that to test a piece first, is the best way of knowing.

What a nice word 'naweek' is! So much nicer than 'weekeinde' or the untranslated weekend we use. Prettig weekend!
I love language lessons.

Some felts I've used have a very slightly shiney side and a more matt side. I've used the side that looks right for the design and project. As to other fabrics - the right side is the side you prefer for your design and project! Some so called 'wrong' side can be very attractive in their own right. Hope this helps.

I don't think there's a right or wrong side, but washing may be a problem. Try a piece first, it might shrink or bleed (or both).

Thanks girls! I did not know you get washable felt (thanks Sewmom) and I will take advice from jjjj - and use the side I prefer as far as other fabrics are concerned!

Glad my comments helped. I don't always 'think outside the box' but it does help our 'craftier' side I think.
