If it is Free Standing Lace, you would use the Water Soluble Stabilizer that looks like fabric. It is made to rinse out of the design under warm water, it all dissolves away. The Water Soluble Stabilizer that looks like plastic wrap is usually not strong enough to do lace on all by itself.
