On October 23, 09 my stepdaughter passed away. she was 36 years old. She left 7 children behind. We are having a benefit this Sunday to raise money to help the father with expenses as there was no insurance. I am looking for a FREE STANDING LACE remembrance design that would be suited for this type of occasion. It would be great if it could have an eyelet on top for stringing a ribbon to wear around our neck.. It does not have to be free...any and all help would be greatly appreciated...

I'm so very sorry for yur loss! What a tragedy for that family! I pray that your benefit raises what is needed to pay the expenses, and then some. They will surely need it! My prayers are with you and your family!! As far as the design goes...What about an FSL heart, possibly with your step daughter's initials embridered in it. As if to say....she is always in your heart.

Thank you so kindly..We are lucky that we live in a small community where everyone comes together in times of need..We our blessed with the outpouring of help we have received not only in monetary donations but with prayers and loving support from the community.
The heart sounds like a wonderful idea.. I am open to anything...and yes this sounds very fitting to the occasion..

I am so sorry for your loss. As far as the design goes, you have only a short time to stitch them in, why don't you use the FSL heart here on Cute with her initial in it? You might even have it in your stash as it was a freebie more than once.

My prayers are with you and the family. I cannot imagine how you feel, but pray that God will comfort you and ease you through your grief.
I agree with the other ladies that a FSL angel would be a lovely choice. Do you have many to make before Sunday?
Love,
Jacqueline

I am so sorry for your loss and pray for all whom she left behind. This is devastating to loose one so young. May God hold you all in his arms.

Oh, my word! What a terrible loss of one so young, and a young mother at that! I am so sorry for you and the family, and will keep you in prayer. I like the idea of the hearts, they'll do up faster if you have to make a lot of them. But just for the future, perhaps for the children, Sonia Showalter has Angels of Light on her website, a whole series of them, that are gorgeous. I have the pet angels, and they work up beautifully, although they do take a bit of time, being so very intricate. Best of luck on your benefit!! Big hugs, Marji

I am so sorry. I lost my daughter 6 years ago. I understand your pain. An angel would be the perfect thing. Try the Stitchery Mall. There is a nice one under tinest angel of light design. May God give you strength. Hugs.

May the Lord strengthen and provide your families every need. My prayers for the children to lack nothing and that the will know that they are L*VED. It's NEVER easy in losing a L*VED one however; the Lord SPECIALIZES in things that seems impossible. May you and your family be RICHLY BLESSED and COMFORTED!

So sorry to hear of your loss also. Isn't it wonderful to know that our Lord will hold the little ones in His arms and guide them all their days? He will keep us all in the peace that only He can give us when we allow Him to do so. Will be praying for you and all the children. God Bless.

Did your stepdaughter have any favorite hobbies or something that would be associated with her? We could search for a special fsl design that would fit her character.

You've been given lots of ideas.. I am so very sorry. Just a few yrs. back my brother lost his daughter, my neice, in early 40s leaving behind twin boys & a 20 yr old boy. Heart failure, a defect in her heart that she did not even know she had although going through 2 pregnancies. God has a reason for everything & He will give us the grace we need to go through troubles & trials so lean on him. *4u

Kathy, I don't know if you have found a design by now or not - I am so sorry for you loss, this is a heavy burden dear one that none of us want to bear. Gain strength for the children and love them more each day. You might use the design that Meg created for Loretta - in the Design by Cuties - instead of Loretta - you could put your stepdaughter's name, perhaps. It is larger and you could actually - leave the lettering off - that Meg has - put your stepdaughters name and dates - that way - it would be more like what you want. I know it is big enough for that sort of lettering - that is why I suggested it. *4U Shirlene
