Need your help!! I had a lady ask me to embroidery some names for her. I would like to know what and how to charge. Does one charge by the name, or each letter? Thanks.

Little more info. Is the name on the front of a shirt or on a sleeve- sleeve is more difficult. How big is it? Is it stacked? Does the first letter constitute a design or a simple letter? I charge between $6-8 for a plain name on the front of a shirt.

Jrob, I will find out more, however, I believe it to be simple letters. Will let you know more when I am sure. She was busy at work, so just took my phone#. Thanks, H&*.

I do names on Bowling towels, and I charge a dollar a letter. Usually I have been asked to do 4-5 letter names. Judy...

I charge by the stitch. $1/1000 When I get over 10,000 stitches I start to give a break on prices especially if the same design on multiple items. If only one-no break. Set up times factor in.

I find that I am usually "low" quote, but I will charge $5 per "line" up to 12 letters if it is just letters.
