I have a son in the Navy. He has been in for going on 19 yrs, aboard a sub. I don't get to see him very often but am VERY proud of him!

Nope, but I am a Navy Brat. My Dad was in the Navy for 24 yrs. Brother was a Marine. DH Army and his Dad was a Navy man. Definitely appreciate those who protect and serve!! My oldest son is a State Trooper.

No i haven't but I'm sure you can be proud of your son.

My youngest just got out of the Army after 4 years and 2 deployments - 1st to Iraq and 2nd to Afghanistan - He is going to college to get his degree in criminal justice. My stepson just got out of the Army also after 11 years and 3 deployments all to Iraq. God Bless Them All!! My youngest has a great respect now for all who served before him. As do I!

My children are too young to be in the military, but my son is in the JMROTC in his high school and is seriously considering the military after graduation. I just want to say a heartfelt thank you to all the young men and women who serve our country, and to the families that have raised and Love these brave young men and women!!

My son is in the Marines and we are retired Navy. :)

My son was in the army ,but retired early because of a back injury. I noticed on the television that no one in the U.S. wear poppies. We all wear them here to support the vets and those serving now. Our Legion sells them to raise money to help older vets. Does any other country out there wear the poppy for today's Rememberance Day. God Bless our troops today and everyday. Pray that each and everyone of them return home soon. Lynn

NO, but my DH and Daddy were both in the Navy. When my Daddy passed in November 2005 - his service was on Veteran's Day with a military theme. He was very proud to have served his country during WWII. He had been stationed on the USS Blue Ridge. My DH had been on the USS Kennedy. We are very proud of the service men and woman that serve our country. *4U

My son was in the Navy and so was his wife. My husband is retired military. He spent 20 years in the Air Force. So I am well aware of what military life is all about. My thanks to all the military both present and past. Our country is a better place because of them.

My husband is a Verteran, SIL also, GS is in the AirForce, 1 nephew in the Army, 1 nephew in the Marines, Newphew a retired marine, and his wife is in the Reserves, my daddy was in the Navy during WWII, and a brother that is also a Navy veteran. I think that about covers it, but you can tell we are pro military. And we need to thank our men, women, girls and boys serving the country.

No, but my spouse is a disabled vet and I served during the Viet Nam war, circa 1967-69.

In Australia my little sis has a son in the Navy, at present i think near Christmas Islands. Then my DH has a nephew in the Army in Iraq. So boys i pray "keep safe" Love you both :)

Our younger son is in Iraq right now. 4 months left on this tour. He is career Air Force and will retire in 4 years. DH was Navy Viet Nam, brother Marines Viet Nam, brother Army Viet Nam, uncle Air Force WWII,Korea, dad Army Air Corp WWII, grandfather Army WWI.
