Any hints to holding the fabric down when appliquing? TIA ;D

You could use a temporary spray adhesive. 505 is one that I like- no smell, no gumming the needle.

I put a little piece of tape on the corners and remove it when outlined on first go-round. Works great.

You won't believe it, but I do not use anything! Just hold it flat with my fingers, until the outline is stitched. Sure not professional, but I am happy with the outcome! No temporary spray, etc in Botswana!

I've done it that way before too--and it also works.
WOW!!! I feel a CREATION coming on ;D *2U
me too, just make sure fabric covers the outline stitch.
I've even used straignt pins, making sure they won't be in the stitching area!!

I too just sit the fabric on and hold with my fingers if it looks like moving.
