Selling house, will be lucky to break even. husband (x to be)knows where I am, more or less.

My girlfriend who had cancer passed away end of Sept. I will try to finish the quilt I was making for her and will be a comfort quilt for me, as reminder what we did together and what she ment to me ... Have creditors after me, and only work 2 1/2 days a week... wish I could bring good new... Oh Precious is here with me now still. She eats much better than me and doesn't have to worry that she is on last roll of toilet paper, like me :O

call every agency you can find, local, county, state, federal....get all the assistance you can....there are many places to help you...call local church even if you do not attend...they are all there for you. Angel Food Ministries (in some areas) and Food Bank helped my daughter. Ask...ask...ask...no one will know you need help if you keep it all private. God's love is with you and he will never forsake you.

Good for you for staying the course and finishing school even when it's tough. Good luck with the job hunt. See what agencies can help you through the rough patch.

Joan, I am sorry to hear about your plight. Is there no Social Security help in your area? Could you maybe apply for a different type of job, like a check out position in your local supermarket, or something like that?
If you belong to a church, the members there might be willing to help, or the Salvation Army. Here in Australia they assist with food parcels, housing and clothing.
