A loss like this can hurt for eternity. But your precious little Minou will be waiting for you at the Rainbow Bridge. This news makes my heart hurt. Animals have always been my friends, unfortunately I don't do well with people.

Oh, Marji, I know how you must be feeling, as I lost my beloved doggie Suzie just over a month ago, and all I can say is that they never leave you. They always remain with you in spirit. Even my son who lives close by us says he still feels as if she is still here. I believe she is sitting at Gods feet, just waiting patiently for one day that we will join up again.
I wish you all the strength you can muster, and all I can say to you is that, no matter what everyone says, crying for your beloved pet just makes it easier. Cry if you want to, because it helped me to feel better. I will never forget her, and I still talk to her every day, especially when I am home alone.

Marji, you know how I feel. I have been troubled all night long over this and the fact that you feel so alone. I wish I could be there, but if we all close our eyes and hug you really tight I know you will feel it. I'm praying that arms stonger and more loving than ours add to the hug and you are able to grieve and love Minou right into his presence.

There are times when we have to prove how much we love a wonderfull pet by letting them go with dignity. our hearts break and our eyes cry as we morn the loss of part of our lives. I hope that your friend will find it in her heart in time to go and share the love she has left over with another animal that may have been abandoned and perhaps hurt by another human. Her beloved pet will leave a legacy of love and trust that should be carried on in anothers heart and not left to fade away. My prayers for her and her pet.

We have been there also..each time you think your heart will break and you will never get so attached again....then there is always another that needs and gives love in return. There is so much love needed out there ,especially of our 4 legged friends, and they give us so much more in return. Just know that your precious one is in Gods hands and is still sending you much love.

Thank you all so much! Minou is still with us, she is not in obvious distress yet, so I am letting her enjoy every minute she has, and I'm enjoying it with her. We'll know when it's time. Thank you for lending me your strength, otherwise I couldn't do this. And thank you, Meg, I posted in Personal, but everyone doesn't go there. This is a picture of Minou when we went for a walk in the woods the other day (I carried her most of the way) and she climbed a little tree. Hugs, Marji

Oh Marji, seeing this makes me cry. Minou is the same colouring as my Tidgy Girl, who is just turned 14 years old. I often wonder how much longer my old girl will be with me too.
