I am new to this. I downloaded some designs to embroider with my brother machine and cant use them. what am i doing wrong?

Hi Wendy, Liz already told you that you have to download the format of Brother machines, mine is .pes and I'm pretty sure that all are. Check that you didn't download .pec incorrectly. Good Luck!! WELCOME to the cuties site!!

Wecome! your brother machine needs the Pes-format.so perhaps you have the wrong format?

Hi and welcome to Cute. Brother works in PES which stands for personal embroidery system. Unless you have selected pes designs from the selection given when downloading you will have unfortunatly got the wrong format. Formats can be changed

Another couple thoughts...if you only have a 4x4 sewing field, anything bigger won't work...or if the design was made in a higher version than what your software will read you may need to change it to a lower version.
