we can conquer anything.

This world is worth fighting for and they say what can one person do - but if every "one" person does something then we can make a difference.

God bless you all and I pray that this Thursday 24th November will be a blessed day for you and your families.

Love and blessings Chris, Newcastle, Australia.

Hi "Gramsbear" I'm on here as much as I can be - don't always reply to posts, but don't worry I'm busy doing lots of other things. I'm trying to finish off the new baby's quilt and I'm in the middle of some work for a new church altar frontal. Life is busy as ever.

Hi Jacqui, I do hope your family dinner went off well. It's always good to have friends and family over to share a meal. My Mum and I are off to our annual Christmas Carols tonight and it's wonderful to feel the great community spirit at this time of year. (Only wish it was like this all the time!!!!)

Hi Shirlene, I hope you had a great day on Thursday. I was thinking of all you American ladies and what you must be preparing. It was about 34 degrees celsius here on Thursday (very hot!!!!). Today Saturday it's going to be 38 degrees in the old temperature around 100 degrees F. I hate the heat!!!!! so Mum and I are going to a local Pub and listen to some jazz! Then tonight it's the Carol Service at a church only about 10mins away - it's the second church in our parish. I belong to Holy Family Belmont North and the Holy Name church is at Redhead. Wendy our priest has to go to 2 services each Sunday morning! But tomorrow, because of tonight's service we are having a combined one at my church - should be a good day.

Chris, my sentiments exactly.Happy Thanksgiving to our American Cute Friends and their families. Especially, their men and women overseas, that they are also enjoying a thanksgiving dinner. We should all say a special prayer for their safe return. God bless all of them. Happy Thanksgiving to all Americans where ever they are. Lynn in St. Catharines, Ontario Canada.

Hi Lynn, thanks for replying. It's great to appreciate everything we have got in a free world. I feel for all of our armed forces at any special celebration. All the time actually, but it is more pertinent when they are missing out on family.

Thank you so much! That is so nice of you to think of us. We Really DO have so much to be Thankful for! It may not be your Holiday in Australia, but I pray that all of you stay safe and have much to be thankful for, as well!

Hi Colleen, you are welcome. And yes, you are right, we do have much to be thankful for. Just to be living in a free country. When I see all the turmoil overseas in countries that are not as blessed as us it just breaks my heart.

Thanks Angie, I had to work and it was a stinker of a day. This time of year (Springtime) is usually lovely. We have had unseasonable weather and it's draining!

Never mind, summer is on its way and that's even worse! Oh! well, at least we have fans and air conditioning if it gets too bad!

Hello Angel, thanks for your comment. I was just looking at your information and read the email about your sewing machine. I do hope you got a great resolution and that Bernina have settled the problem. Life's not good without a sewing machine! LOL! I'd be lost!!!!

God bless you too Judy. I too thank God each day I rise and see His creation about me. Isn't it wonderful to see His sunrises and sunsets? To see Jesus in another human being and to just marvel at his wonderful works never ceases to amaze me. God is great.

Life is good and He who created us is worthy to be praised and exalted.

P.S. I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family.

Hi Lillian, mmmmmm! sounds delicious. I can almost smell those pecan pies!

I love pumpkin but mainly roasted. We don't utilise it as much as a sweet. I know one of our politician's wives is renown for her Pumpkin scones!

I hope you had a wonderful time with all your family.

P.S. Love the new Avatar, I just wish we could make them bigger!
