My dear Friend Diane admired my Peacock cushion, so to surprise her I made one for her Birthday.In the colours I thought would suit the room. Teal, burgundy and Brass. Green and blue too. Crystals added to it as well.the material was Duchess Satin, piped around the edge and the zipper put in in the seam at the bottom. Diane loved it.

Thank you . Hatched in Africa is where the design comes from. They hae some beautiful Jacobean flower designs too. ( on the back of the cushion) All using Crystals, which make it extra special

this is so beautiful I have got to have the design I have one I have started that is hand cross stiched been working on it for ages don't know when and if I will ever get it done.
it was a paint by number 8X10 picture I enlarged it to a 3 foot peacock and started it my friend said there was no way I could do that but I have the peacock done all I like is the dogwood flowers.

Just love it, so clever to adjust the colours, I would find that difficult. Did you do the freehand quilting around the peacock??

Thank you edith, no not diffult but time comsuming. Then I keep the colour change for the next time I want to make one in the same colours. Yes it is freehand stippling around the peacock

Hi Dolly thank you. 5 x 7 Hoop. 4 hoopings. Have also done it with my "hoop it all" and that takes 3 hoopings. I don't think that it will fit into the "giant "hoops that's around now.

You always take on a pattern that most of us would not go close to because it is so complicated and it always turs out just perfect! I have never seen a piece that you have done that I don't come back and look at it many times. It is 3:00 int hte morning and I need to go to bed and I got started in projects and I have seen some very nice ones tonight. It won't be long before I have to take a bath and get ready to go to DR. At this rate, I am not going to make it! Your Peacock is a very nice place to stop and go to bed!
