Good Morning from Oz,

Still have not had an answer how to sew the lace bells together. Has anyone made these and did you back stitch the pieces together or oversew. Help please.
Thanks Shirl

Hi Sandra, I'm not sure which bells you are referring to, but for me personally I use a zig-zag stitch (small)to join them together. I made a beautiful lace bag for Mum and I used the zig zag on that and it worked fine.

Love and blessings Chris

Thank you pennifold. I bought two of the cute lace bells. I never realised they were not embroidered out in one piece.

Thanks heaps.

Cheers

I too would use sewing machine to do a zig-zag stitch to join. I usually sew together before removing the wss. But some sew together after wss is rinsed out.

Depending on the size of the bells you may only be able to machine stitch so much then hand stitch where your presser foot can't fit.

Before or after washing out WSS is usually the most difficult choice you have to make, I mostly prefer BEFORE as the design is much softer then. As long as you trim as close as possible to the stitching so you can clearly see where to stitch.
