can't wait now for next year's theme. I'll have to think about what to make etc., but that's half the fun.

Thanks for all your wonderful comments.

Thanks girls for commenting - I meant to say doesn't Mum look great - not bad for a 75 year old. She will be 76 on 29th January and Babs her friend behind her is older. It's great to see these women still dressed up and wearing make up etc. They are still very glamour conscious!!!!

I have always been very clothes conscious and luckily I have great strong hair. I never go outside without make-up on either, so I keep up a good standard LOL! I'm modest too!!!!! L O L big time!!

Thanks Gerry - it's my one day of fun with these women. In years gone by we used to go through about 6 bottles of Champers - but not these days with driving laws!!!!!!

Never mind we still had a great time.

Thanks Jerrilyn,

Yes, they were all thrilled with the day, lunch and the table. The older lady behind Mum is a friend from church who I introduced to Mum. It's nice for her to have someone her own age to converse with. Marg in the purple is my friend with breast cancer. Sue is a retired nurse and Christine is a dentist's wife. They are all wonderful friends. I've known Sue for nearly 28 years! The lady who took the photo is called Stasia and I've known her for about 15 years! It was a great day.

Thanks Shirlene - I might go back to the traditional red, green and gold. I still have lots of that stuff around. I'm not sure what to make as yet, but have a year to figure that out.

Well I hope it did not literally go with a bang. The picture looks as if you were all enjoying yourselves. Such gatherings are great fun and there is plenty of time to think about next years theme. Your grandson will be one by then...

Well, we did pull our crackers and they went off with a bang! We did enjoy ourselves and only drank 1 bottle of sparkling wine between the lot of us!!!!!

I'll actually have 3 babies by next Christmas. Cooper will be 1, Dana's baby will be 10 months old and Amy's baby will be 8 months old! My goodness babies every where!

You can see they are a bunch of happy ladies. Does it have to do with the weather? May you all now enjoy a happy festive season

Ok, that's it, I'm moving to Australia!! First, I want to be invited to this luncheon next year. And second, I want to be as well-preserved as all your older ladies are!!! Chris, I can't believe your Mum is 75! Before I read the caption, I figured, oh, that has to be Chris's sister. What's her (their, her friend is gorgeous, too!) secret? Is it Kangaroo-hugging, or exotic crocodile oil or something? Hee hee hee, must be something peculiarly Aussie, I think. I saw the pictures in Projects, too, your theme and decorations were just gorgeous, well done!!! Hugs, Marji

Thanks Marji, she's pretty good for her age. We both use lots of moisturiser on body, face and feet. No Kangaroo hugging, or croc oil but we try and keep out of the hot sun! Australia has the highest incidence of Melanoma in the world!

Chris, what a precious picture! I'm glad you ladies had a wonderful day! You ladies look very young, and I agree with you, keep out of the sun, it is too bad for your skin.

That is a great picture of all! I knew everyone would have a great time. You are a very gracious hostess! The table was set for royality and I am sure you made them feel that way. It is wonderful to have such good friends and family close by you. Since I moved I feel very alone most of the time. I do not get around well enough to get out and so the social scene. I will be so very glad when my right leg heals so I can move back home, that is if I am still able to get around. It seems like it has been forever since I felt good enough to want to go on any outings. My body is alot more comfortable at home. I also find it hard to leave my girls for very long at the time. Little Miss Bebe is not doing very well and I know it is just a matter of time before she leaves me. My 4 yr old did not come from the same stock as Bebe. There is nothing calm about her. She is a little tornado going through the house! Don't get me wrong; she is very smart and behaves very well except for being jealous but they do not fight. Bebe just lets her have what she wants! Patty actually minds better than Bebe but I think Bebe has lost some of her hearing. The only problem I have with Patty is that if I am not careful when I open the door, she goes straight outside. My girls do not go out for anything without a leash because of the traffic. My new neighbors just lost their huge dog to the traffic. We are talking about the dog my son called a horse. He was as big as a smaller deer. Bebe took a liking to him the first time they met and she was not as big as his head! He was very gentle around her. Patty was terrified of him! I don't live too far a very busy 4 lane highway. This is a surburb of Atlanta and traffic is what we are most known for!

I am so glad the luncheon was a big hit with everyone but of course, I knew it would be! You put all of your effort into making it a grand occasion! I look forward to the next one! Linda
