Thread clippings I've saved over the past several months went in the colorful angels. Some crosses & angels. Just some of the FSL projects that went to my friends in the Homemakers club at our annual christmas luncheon & Nursing Home party today.

Dear Lillian,

What a great job and a wonderful way of using up leftover threads.

I'm sure all your friends will appreciate the work and love that was involved in making them.

Love and blessings Chris

These FSL Angels and crosses are so pretty and would look darling on a Christmas tree. **4U

A lot of them will go on small trees that was my intention. Most of the crosses they put in there bibles. Very few of the N.H. residents have trees in their rms. *

They look great, Lilian! You had lovely clippings. Do you colour sort them in any way or discard certain colours (like black) while you're saving?

No Martine I do not sort, Just stir to mix every once in a while. I do have some black n them but very little, that's the one color I do not keep a lot of. *

Beautiful! How did you use your thread snippets in them?

I keep a plastic butter bowl by the machine & all snippets go in it. Occasionally I stir them around a bit to mix up the colors. I lay one layer of WSS on hoop spread a layer of snips & usually lay a few threads of metallic on top . Put another layer of WSS on top & hoop all together & put in machine. http://www.joydesigns.org/Christmas.html is where I get the free designs for angels & other things to do the snips with. Joy also has beautiful bookmarks. *
