I've had that problem before also. Whatever program they use, color problems are particular to it. I usually just do a stitch out view is slow mo on my computer and try to adjust from there. I have had faces that were split into 2-3 colors before, so that's a bugger to decipher. I hope you find an easy fix, I'll try it, too. Good luck.

Hi... Embroidery library has a conversion program in it to convert to whatever thread you are going to use. What I do is convert the colors from madeira to isocord. Some colors have no conversion so I take an actual madeira thread chart to look at the exact color and then I match it to a color closest on the isocords actual thread chart. I always write the conversion on the print out and staple it to the design. That way it's always there when I am ready to do the design. I hope this helps.

No, I have the same problem with Embroidery Library. I adore their designs, especially some of the cat ones, the complicated ones, of course. I don't mind the zillion color changes, but in Janome Digitizer Pro, the colors come up strangely. I get a lot of purples and olive greens when I'm sure they should be other colors. I have the extra added bonus of Digitizer Pro defaulting to the Janome thread color chart. The only alternative I've found is to add my colors to the thread chart and start changing. Since I have RA, Isacord and Floriani, it's a time consuming process. Could be why a lot of those lovely complicated cats are still in my computer and not on my sweatshirts, hee hee hee. I'm going to look for that thread conversion chart on Embroidery Library, I didn't know it was there! Hugs, Marji

Bikermom, when you get the designs, also print out the color chart. It will go CC1 on thru the whole design chart, just foiiow CC1,CC2,CC3, and so on. I just chose my colors as close to the color chart that I can. My designs come out fine. H&*.

This is going to sound strange, but it works for me. Print out the design on the download page. this will give you how it was designed for Madeira threads. I then open it in my software and in my thread program change the threads to Madeira and take a look to compare the colors with the printed out design and make changes if I think they should be different. I then print my finished design and use it as the guide at the stitch out at the machine and I "eye-ball" the colors as I choose. i have many brands of threads so if the printed design says smokey blue, I simply choose what I think is smokey blue in my threads. I could go on why i finally chose this method buy it is boring!!!!

I have the 4D also what format did you purchase? I find different formats make different colors in the program. I could have the same design but in Hus it is blue and vip it is purple and pes is green. So I never use the colors that come with designs, I do like you are play with the design until I get the look I like, I agree it can take a long time if there are a lot of color changes but it is the only way with 4D, wish I never bought this program myself, I am not happy with it at all. will never purchase another program from them that's for sure. Karen, by now - you have found a solution - but the easiest way - I have found - as other's have suggested - to open the color chart - some print & change - I just open it - make the changes in my program - if that doesn't help - I print out the color chart and pick the thread as I stitch each color - if I can follow it - along. That is one problem with Emblibrary that I dislike the most - the colors don't stay the same when downloading the file. *4U
