If you have re-threaded machine...try changing the needle!

What is your machine? You may have some thread wound up in the upper thread path. Have you cleaned your bobbin area? Sometimes thread pieces get caught down in the bobbin area, and this can cause thread to break. H&*

I would have given you the advise that "dlmds" has already given Monica.
If you have been working at the machine for a long time take a break, go and make yourself a cup of tea and then start again-

my machine stitches and embroiders, was just told by my dealer that if I am doing a lot of embroidery and not sewing my upper tension needs to be recalibrated which is done by taking my embroidery arm off and doing a few stitches, worked great, just need to remember it LOL
