They do have a special tool to do it. It is 45 dollars I believe. Can't remember name of it. But this is what I did went to walmart got an electric hair cutter(the one the guys use to give buzz cuts) you use it without the attachments and slowly on the front run it across it and will break stitches for you just to pull out. It only cost about $15 - 20 for these. Saved hours and hours of time. I forgot the stitching I took out was on a school jacket that the football players wear. Jacket was 10 years old same style they use now. Given to me and had name embroidered on it so took name off this way no marks holes damage of any kind looks brand new to no embroidery grandsons name.

Try cutting the bobbin thread, or even just pulling it out if it is loose enough and you can get a good grip on it. Since it is shorter, due to the way that embroidery machines work, it takes a bit less effort. Then, the front stitches just fall out. Good luck, and I'm sorry that this happened to you. Never my favorite thing to do!

Such a pain when that happens. I use a seam ripper on the back, the front than just pulls out. But the shaver sounds good to me too.
