Lenamae, I am sick to hear this, not as much as you - but still am. I feel awful for you and wished that I could put my arms around you and give you a big hug. I would also invite you over to work with me on projects, too. You stick up for yourself and get a new machine.

I can't believe this is still going on. Stick to your guns and insist on a new machine. Go to the manufacturer if you have to. Let us know what happened.

Lenaname i had the same problem,it spent most of this year in at the dealer. After three years of this i took my machine in to the dealer and told them i wanted a new machine, that i didn't care what mountains they had to move to do this!!!!. I now have a new machine and it sounds so much different than the one i had trouble with. [THIS WAS ON THE NET 03.12.09]UNDER THE TRADE PRACTICES ACT,CONSUMERS HAVE THE RIGHT TO ASK FOR A REFUND,REPLACEMENT OR REPAIR IF A PRODUCT DOES NOT LAST AS LONG AS 'REASONABLY'EXPECTED. THERE IS WIDESPREAD CONFUSION AMONGEST SHOPPERS AND RETAILERS ABOUT THE SITUATION. BUT THE LAW IS CLEAR EVERYONE HAS LEGAL PROTECTION UNDER THE STATUTORY WARRANTY IF THE PRODUCT IS FAULTY OR NOT FIT FOR ITS PURPOSE. A STATUTORY WARRANTY IDIFFERS FROM A MANUFACTURES WARRANTY BECAUSE IT DOES NOT COVER A LIMTED PERIOD. INSTEAD IT WORKS ON THE LEAGAL ASSUMPTION THAT THE PRODUCT WILL GIVE REASONABLE SERVICE FOR ITS PRICE,AGE AND QUALITY. FOR EXAMPLE,YOU COULD REASONABLY EXPECT A REFRIGERATOR TO CONTINUE TO WORK WITHOUT FAULT FOR AT LEAST FIVE YEARS AND A MOBLE PHONE PERHAPS TWO YEARS. MANFUFACTURES AND RETAILERS LACK KNOWLEDGE ON WARRANTIES ALMOST TO THE SAME DEGREE AS CONSUMERS....Good luck, don't back down when you know you are in your right.

Thanks so much for this info. wish I had had this weeks ago. I called brothers and they told me all he had to do was request a new one to replace the bad one so he is going to do that.

how awful for you, my machine was broken yesterday and I can not do without.
but tomorrow is repaired.
It's probably going to cost a lot and think that is not fun.
I also always keep the same problems.
But now he is completely jammed.
Lots of strength with your machine and yet I wish you happy holidays.
greetings 10tje
