Yoriko, I was very late getting on the computer today due to no sleep last night. I do appreciate the birthday greetings from you very much! It has been a long hard year but I must say that this birthday has been one of the very best ever! I spent yesterday with my son and his wife's family. It was wonderful because the Lord has blessed me with giving my son a second chance at life as well as giving his Mother-in-law another chance. They have both has life threatning heart attacks this year and that Lord has sent them home to us much better and faster than I thought possible. Having all the family at home and Brian doing well and Gail's Mom(80) just 2 days out of heart surgery at home with us has made it the best Christmas and birthday ever! I have met some of the nicest, kindess people right here on this site that you provide us with everyday! This group is sooooo different from any of the Yahoo Groups I had been on for so long until I found this site and actually decided to join in. This is where I stay now! Thanks for such a great site! Thanks Meg! What a sweet little Tiger! I wish I did have some chocolate cake but I really do not need to eat for a week after yesterday! I only ate once yesterday but that was enough! I no longer get hungry very often and that is a blessing! I used to live to eat and NOW I eat to live. I have lost nearly a hundred lbs. in the last 2 years and I still need to lose that much more. Of course it has made me LOOK older but health-wise I know I am better off. Not being able to exercise hardly any does not help but the arthritis will not let me do much exercise! Just walking from one end of the house to the other is alot of effort for me. I went through a period a couple of months back that I hurt so bad to just move that I found myself crying in pain. I do not know what has made the difference, but for the last couple of weeks it has gotten much better. There are different things that cause the joint pain to get worse and then better but I have not been able to find any difference in any of my habits. I just have to thank the Lord for having less pain for awhile. All things lay in His hands! I have had to quit taking several of my meds because I can not afford to get them. My Medicare at the end of the year has gone sky high! They are not paying the same amout on the perscriptions as they were! I exist off of my disability and I just do not have the money to keep buying them. I am looking to go to a new plan with another provider in the New Year but have not found one I like any better. I have to wonder if the meds for one thing is causing the extra pain in the arthritis! The Dr. I am using since I moved to the Atlanta area is just giving me the same prescriptions that I was taking when I moved up here. He has never even done a complete physical on me. He was the one that sent me to Wound Care for my legs though! One of them is well and the other one is much smaller but has stalled in the last month. I am having test done when I go back for my next appt. to find out if there is an underlying reason why it has stalled.
It has been a wonderful birthday although I have spent it with just my 2 girls. Bebe is NOT doing good but she has made it much longer than I thought she would with alot of TLC! My 2 Pekingese are very good company. I did my celebrating for Christmas and my birthday yesterday with my son and his new family. It was a great day! The Lord has blessed us all with the gift of life for my son and his mother-in-law. I could not ask for more than to have Brian with me and for Gail to still have her Mom! This has been a long and hard year for all of us but the gift of life which was almost taken from heart attacks makes you change the way you look at life! I have my family and many good friends, some of which I have found on Cute and nothing else is more important! I do hope you had a wonderful Christmas. I still say a prayer for you and a couple more every now and then. You have been alot of my strength during the last year! You have shown me that where there is a will, there is a way especially with help from the Lord! Many many more blessings to you for what you still have to go through! May the Lord bless and keep you in His loving hands and keep you well at least until you are 100! You have been good for laughs and tears both since I came to this site as a regular. You have also been an inspiration to all of us! You don't know how great it is for me to be able to get a birthday greeting from you this year! You Go Meg! Thank you Jerrilyn! I am still up and it is 12:24 AM I stayed up all night last night with something I ate yesterday then tried to sleep all day today. I have days and nights mixed up! I am still in awe at the picture of you! You look like a teenager. Please tell me how you got so much younger overnight... And a new granny at that! If it had not had jrob on it I would never had guessed it was you. I just get another year older and look 5 yrs older! I am through having Birthdays! heehee Many blessings to you and your family. It was nice and quiet. I spent the day with my furbabies! I had left them home for a good time the day before. My Bebe is still with me at this time and it is a great day when she makes it through it with very little to no pain. She got a special treat of left-over white meat turkey that I slipped to her after the Baby Pekingese had eaten her dog food. My Bebe has cancer and has not been doing very well. She was 14 the 23rd of Dec. I have had her since the day she was born. I have had Patty 2 yrs. I adopted her off of Petfinders.com and went to Tn to get her. I actually enjoy every minute that I spend with them. They are sweet little girls!
