We had the experience of White Shark Diving during this December holidays. Very safe and a wonderful opportunity. Wont do it again though!!!
Pic 1: Hubby and me going on the boat.
Pic 2. My daughter with me on deck
Pic 3. The cage(takes 4) that they lower in the water for you to observe the sharks better.

Marthie, you are a brave woman - even if they told me it was safe - I would never do it - too scary for me!

You sure are brave! That would scare me to death! I can not swim and have always had a fear of deep water! When I was about 6/7 my Dad was going to teach me how to swim. He threw me in over my head and I went to the bottom fighting. He had to come after me. That was the end of that! I took swimming lessons for 2 summers when I was small and I can remember floating on my back and gliding through the water but I was in a pool and would not get in over my head. I never learned to swim because I was terrified of the water! No way would I let anyone sink me into the ocean in a cage! I really do not think I am that terrified of anything but deep water! I am glad you enjoyed the adventure even though you say not again.... Linda

That was a very brave expedition. I am very respectful of our ocean life. I only came across a shark once while snorkling, and don't want that experience again. I love to "watch" the sea life, but don't want to be that close again.

Marthie I haven't been in the ocean since the first time I saw the movie Jaws, and I used to always swim out past the breakers and float for hours before that.
If a shark's gonna get me it's gonna have to come through my kitchen tap! (Shudder)

hugs n roses to the brave(er than me) Marthie

YIKES!! I would have much rather stayed on board adn loked for whales. I know those cages are safe, but with my luck, the lock/latch would break and I'd be shark food.

More power to you and your family for taking on such an adventure!
