Adorable, where did you get the pattern?

I experimented til I found what would work for mass production. It is 18" tall x 20"(for a head that measures 20") I measured up from the bottom 6 1/2" for the center of the design. I embroidered the design. Then cut from the top down 4" making a cut every 1/2" to make the fringe. I sewed a 1/2" seam from the bottom up to where the fringe starts, this made a tube. Then I measured 4 1/2" from the bottom to make the band then sewed the band. I know my instructions aren't really great but they worked for me.

Thanks, I tried different ones and came up with the instructions above. Some patterns had too many extra steps so I condensed it down.

Great hats, I love the penquin. I wondered if you could tell me what type of needle and backing you used for the embroidery.. I am breaking a lot of needles with fleece. Thanks Debbi
