Carolyn, CONGRATULATIONS on the 8,000 flowers - that is wonderful. I am so sorry to hear that your Mother has passed - but I am sure - on Christmas Day - it was in fact Jesus that came for her - to take her to the LORD - our Father's side. I will be praying for you dear one.

I am brand new to the group just joined like 2 minutes ago so I don't know how you get flowers or I would send you a bunch but I can send UP a bunch of prayers so I will. I am so sorry about your loss. My Mom is now 85 so I know I don't have much more time with her but I can't imagine ever being ready to let her go. Unless of course she becomes really ill. My Dad died at 59 when I was 24. I just keep on remembering the fun times we had and he has stayed alive in my heart now for 34 years. When CHRISTmas comes next year try not to focus on the fact that she passed on CHRISTmas but the joyful times you had on CHRISTmas's past.I know this is probably too long but I'm a preacher's wife so I can't help it. If even one word helps you it's worth it. So you just climb on up in JESUS' lap have a good cry and let Him hold you safe for awhile.

My thoughts & prayers go out to you also Marjorie, I lost an old friend yesterday.
She was only 60, my age, and had a massive heart attack.
Dealing with the death of any loved one is not easy, but it is a part of life that no-one is spared.
It helps if you believe in the life hereafter.

I know that you'll be missing your Mother, but I will pray for you in this time of grief. It's such a sad thing, no matter when it happens, but I liked to read Shirlene's explanation of Jesus coming to get her on Christmas day. When I grieve my parents passing, I try to imagine them in heaven without pain, discomfort or problems. Sorry you were not able to visit her that day, but I'm hoping that she knows what is in your heart.

Losing your Mum has to be one of the worse times of our lives and I am crying for you, as I remember how it was losing my own Darling Mumsie only 5 1/2 years ago.
Time does heal all, but it takes a long time and you should allow yourself to grieve, to cry and yes, even when the anger comes, as it will, allow yourself to feel it, deal with it and move on. It is all part of this terrible process we must go through when our loved-ones pass.
My prayers will be with you and your family, that our good Lord gives you the strength to get through this very sad time and you will, in time, be able to think of your Mum without hurting so much.
