When I saw cissie03's owls I digitized some ITH ones and made several. The first had an applquéd head and emboidered wings, the second has both head and wings appliquéd. You probably recognise the material as remnants from the jacket and dress I made last week. For the last one - the red fleece - I combined the designs: wings are embroidered appliqués. The size is aproximately 4.5" x 5". They all have a small jingle bell inside.
They turned out nice - at least I think so - so I also made the design into an appliqué to be sewn on a blanket, which I have yet to stitch.

I read and understood. And I'm experiencing some pangs of jealousy. It's 8 p.m. and my neighbour is shovelling snow again to clear his drive before tomorrow morning - hopefully not in vain.

Cissie, it's really easy, you just make the design and then digitize a final outline with a 2" opening and create a backward path, so it is stitched twice.
