ok I'm new. HELP every time I download an embroidery pattern it reads " need a win zip ? " Then I can't see the pattern on my computer before I send it to my machine. What do I need or doing wrong

Hello, and welcome to Cute, you will always get a answer on this site.
You need a program to be able to open the zip file, because most of these designs come in more than one (I do not know what to call it now, my brain is still asleep), eg. Jef, hus, sew, etc. and you need to download the one compatible with your machine.
Win Zip is a program to open these files.
I am not to good with the computer, and mabe somebody else will be able to tell you where you can download such a program for free.

type in Winzip, on your computer, and download for free, you will never be able to see the design on your computer, it doesn't work like that... once you put it on your computer (where the icons are) it will look like a zippered file. Double click on it, and it will open a new page, the format you need (if it asked for the format when you were downloading, not all ask for it) then pick the format you need from the list... drag it onto your computer where the icons are, then put in your USB stick, and drag it onto it. Then delete the icons from your computer. That way they are on your stick in the right format.
