More than that, Thank You for caring and being there for her when most of us are not close enough to visit! Personal contact with family and friends is very important to the ones in a nursing home. Most are sick or in bad health and then they are taken away from family and friends and confined to a tiny room, most of the time with a total stranger. It is a strange place to find yourself and not be able to do anything about it! I was confined in one for 8 months at 57. I was very sick and also confined to bed. I knew I would be able to go back home as soon as my legs healed and it was an experience that I hope I have to never go through again. I think you are just wonderful for giving your time and love to Loretta! My best friend drove over 60 miles(both ways combined) twice a week on Tuesdays and Fridays every week but 1, the whole time I was in there. She lost her precious Furbaby the week she did not come and she cried for the whole week. She did not even tell me about it because she knew I would be upset also. She just said she was sick when she called the director to let me know that she would not be there. She was the one that followed the ambulance to the Nursing Home when I was admitted and she was the one to take me home. Without Shelia, I would have been lost. My aunts and my half brother visited me several times but they lived a long way from the home. My lifetime best friend from school days until now also made the very long trip to come see me. Shelia was the one to admit me to the hospital for surgery also. She actually saved my life. There is no way that I could ever pay her back for all that she did for me. YOU ARE A VERY SPECIAL person. (I am not yelling but wanted it to be seen) May God bless you as well as Miss Loretta! I have never met you in person but I thank you more than you know! I have been there and done that. Shirlene, what a wonderful friend she has in you!! I am so happy to know that she is getting better. Rest is the best thing she can do right now. I have a friend that had her brother go into the hospital last Thurs. then he passed away Sun. with the big "P". It is so dangerous. Give her my love. H&*
