I tried a postcard, but not happy with the satin edges due to tear-away stabiliser. Have applied "stop fray", but still not good enough. WSS will be too expensive. Planning on making some Valentine candy toppers. Any ideas for men, apart from towels?

Just a couple of dish towels for gifts. If you are into sewing a robe would be nice with his initials(monogram).

I am putting fringe hearts on some shirts and personalizing them. Also making pencil toppers. Can't forget to make a few FSL hearts and bookmarks to give to loved ones.
If the man is a reader a bookmark is a good idea. If he wears glasses there are designs for glass cases. CD holders are nice. Perhaps a monogrammed handkerchief? Or what I usually end up doing is buying an article of clothing and putting a design on it of one of their fav things sports/fishing/animals along with their name or initials.

Suzette, I am making some Valentine's and a few postcards - but my tear-away isn't a problem, sorry yours is. Can you cut off the little bits? I too, do some candy toppers for the GRANDS and sucker holders, of coarse for them to give to their friends. Some roses and hearts, I am using on tees for the GRANDS & my Mother. As for my DH, he usually give and doesn't get much in return, unless it is a new T-shirt with whatever new design he enjoys when I ask him - this year he wants some sort of desert scene, why I don't know. Hehehe!

hmmm now that you ask I haven't really been thinking much about it but its really coming soon isn't it?! well hubby gets a handmade (that is machine embroidered) card and some bought gift usually. here only couples exchange gifts, we don't give gifts to friends and relatives on val day. maybe a small wallhanging or a nice framed design could also be a nice gift for a man or a bag for toiletries.
