I have a 270D, so it's 4x4 - if I wanted a bigger design, I would have to split it right? How do you get it to line up right, just lots of practice? Or am I missing a trick?!

Believe me,for me nearly impossible to line up 100%. Some software you can put points in design to lign up. These sew out and you than make sure your needle goes down exactly where the marks are. I wish you luck

This is something I'm still trying to figure out. My biggest hoop is also 4x4.
If you work on it, and find an easy way, I'm all ears :)

Before I had the bigger hoops. I have when i gotric ready to remove hoop. Used a quilt marker the disappears with H20 marked the hoop on all 4 sides & marked fabric with sm. dot in exact same place. When rehooped made sure the dots on fabric exactly matched dots on hoop. This put fabric back in exact spot as when stopped stitching. Also put dot in last stitch made with chalk & made sure machine started back in exact spot. But my machine let me move needle in any direction. This worked till I got larger hoops. *
