• Like dust, it’s good for protecting previously empty spaces in the house. Like the ironing board, the laundry basket and dining room table.
• It’s not immoral, illegal or fattening. It calms the nerves, gratifies the soul and makes me feel good.
• Because it is on sale.
• Buy it now, before your husband retires and goes with you on all your shopping expeditions. And
• BECAUSE I’M WORTH IT

Thanks Raelene, this really started my day with a smile. I so enjoyed it and called my DH to hear it too.. What is it with men? He didn't see the funny side at all; but then he always grumbles about my stash too - I'm now convinced that women have a better and totally different 'sense of humour'.

Oh it makes me feel better to know I am not the only one to feel it up my shelf with tonnes of materials, to buy all sort of materials on sale just in case..., and I always have a pile of favorite that I save for a special occasion but I never do anything with it !!

Gosh, now I realize that I have collected quite an amount of fabrics in the last 2 years...just waiting for me :)
Interesting thing, my very first job was in a fabric company, never thought in collecting them those times, and they had a very special price for employees. :)

I bought that design today on embroidery library,
it made me think of your 12 good reasons to buy materials, here's another one in image!

Love it now I need that and one for craft supplies.
Collecting fabric is like a kid going to a candy store can't decide on just one, gotta have several.LOL

I have to confuse that my dear husband knows and condones my addictions. He bought me a cubboard to store my fabric. He never complains about my need to touch more, new fabric, threads, designs, yarn, etc. He found out how much I had when we moved! He was stunned!! So, the truth came out!! The moral: DON"T MOVE!! LOL

I used to crochet (eyesight is bad so gave it up kept dropping too many stitches) and I still have enough yarn to wrap around the globe twice. Now I have been embroidering for the past 2 years and I have got my 7' x 4' stand alone cabinet full plus bags of fabric stashed all over the house. My children are going to hate me when I die lol. It will ease their grieving process if they are cussing me while cleaning it all out.

Oh how I love that!! I guess we all are addicted to collecting our "stash" of fabric. I can never resist!!

Love it - aren't we all just the same. Showed it to my husband who does not appreciate it as he also found out what actually was kept in all those bins when we moved house in December. At one point he just said - think you should start knitting. Luckily he realized that it was in his own interest that he should keep quiet when it came to the material and the beads. Never mind it reminded me of something that happened a year or two ago. As I was standing in the que to pay for some clothes my daughter (then about 7 or 8) loudly remarked - are these also of the purchases daddy are not suppose to know off. The expression on the rest of the ladies faces told me - yip we are all the same. Good to read all your stories and laugh at ourselves. Eleen

Love it. I'm glad I don't have a hussband to worry about seeing my fabric and designs I have. My daughter just shakes her head and laughs.

I bought the same design just this morning I thought it was great.I also bought a few more.

I bought a building to store fabric in My son said mom it would be cheaper to just get rid of this and buy more when you need it .I moved away and got married when I came home on vacation the building had leaked and ruined a lot of fabric I had to throw away and I now know what he means I have enough craft stuff to open a store need to have a sale at the flea market and see if I can get rid of some of it or put it on ebay one.Boxes of dolls and stuff that needs to be dressed and I keep finding things to do .I tell my self to stop but I never listen.

So cute.... I love my fabric. I told my husband if I ever have to go to a home...Just bring me a box of fabric to sort I will be happy for hours! I just used some Hawaiian fabric I bought 38 years ago on my honeymoon. Yeah!!!

My sweetie's son was sitting in line at a drive through and the car in front of him had a bumper sticker which read: She who dies with the most fabric wins. He made a point to jot it down so he could tell me.

I JUST BOUGHT THE DESINE SOME ONE SAID ON THE SITE AT EMBROIDERY LIBRARY--MY HUSBAND LET ME HAVE ALL THE MATERIAL I CAN HIDE .. HE ACUTALLEY LAUGHFED..I LOVE MY MATERIAL,,I CANT SEAM TO PART WITH IT,,OH I LIKE THIS ONE SHARES WELL WITH OTHERS EXCEPT AT A MATERIAL SALE,,,, HAHAHAHAH

JUST THINK IF WE HIT AN ICE AGE WE CAN KEEP WARM IN ALL OUR FABRIC..WE HAVE MICE YUK AND THEY HAVE THE BEST DESIGNER NESTS MADE OUT OF MY MONKEY WOOL THAT IS LIKE 20.00 A BALL SMALL BALL AND MY FUR COATS FROM MY 100 YR OLD GRANNEY( WHO DIED 10 YEARS AGO) THEY ARE THE WOMEST MICE IN THE LAND,,HAHA,,THEY EVEN ATE MY RUBBERMAD BINS TO GET TO THE WOOL..IF ANY ONE HAS ANY SUGESTIONS ON GETTING RID OF THEM. CANT HAVE CATS TO BAD LUCY
