My youngest sings, "Maria", just one word, and of course I start singing the whole song. They just start laughing and daughter #2 says she wins a point for making me sing. Daughter #1 says they should keep score and we decide that when I am gone whoever has made me break into song the most, wins. Not a bad contest, there are certainly worse things they could try to make me do. The problem is, now I know, so they have to wait until I forget about the contest for it to work again. Of course at my age forgetting isn't that hard to do. LOL

Yes, Laughter is the best medicine! I can do with some around here! My husband threw out DVD cases with DVD's and Fana (2yr old) started taking them apart and playing. Fana is always amazed when he watches me browsing - so we spotted him opening up 1 of these black DVD cases, positioning it like a laptop, took a quick look at the top part, looking like a mirror, and started pressing with his fingers on the bottom part (key board)!
Can you not make a plan to video and let us hear your singing? I don't even dare to sing in the shower!

Are there pictures of Fana here somewhere? I'd love to see her. How do you pronounce her name? It sounds pretty in my head.

I told son#2 and he said, "I'm in!" Haven't told son#1 yet. I'll see him tomorrow. I've never liked thinking about my funeral but now I get a little smile thinking of the kids standing there with posters of their score. They would do it too!
Speaking of son'#2, he passed his EMT class. Whoo Hoo! He is also #1 in his PE class this semester. That means he is in charge of all of the leaders that are in charge of each fire truck. The instructor announced that his orders will go to the class through my son so they have to listen to him. My boy knows how to become a leader. (There is a special fire fighter PE class.)

My parents were raised when radio was the machine de jour, and sang at the slightest hint of a song title or theme.
Have now picked it up and sing to my GS so that he can carry on the tradition of bursting into song.
Would love to think that people are joyous at our funerals. When my friend recently died, her children and grandchildren each spoke at her funeral and told stories from her life. I've never laughed and cried so much at a funeral before.
Love the thought of you breaking into song.

Let the songs begin! We too sing all the time..on & off key! So many memories (my kids are 44,40 & 28). The daughter & I are the singing ones at the drop of a hat. On a long, boring car trip the guys starting saying ONE word & see if we could come up with a song phrase with that word..we did, everytime! When the older 2 were small, we didn't have a radio in the car & a 10 hr. drive home to see Granny. After singing for miles & running out of songs, the little girl said, "I have one! The Old Crooked Cross!" Needless to say I can't sing The Old Rugged Cross without thinking of her & smiling.
