I have bought designs, but wait for a sale or special offers and try not to pay more than $1, as the South African rand is weak and it is costly to buy in Dollars. I'd rather buy in South Africa where I can pay in Rand and also wait for a sale! I must also say that I have only used one of all the designs that I have bought. Collecting is addictive!!! whether free or bought.

I don't usually buy unless on sale, don't know the comparison to US dollars. It scares me when I try to buy other than US. AND, the designs that I have bought, that I thought I couldn't live without, are still waiting to be used! Go figure, Yes, I'm addicted. My name is Judy and I am addicted to D/L'ing. Hahaha!

Sometimes I buy designs , but I prefer subscriptions as by Cute. For 1 U.S. dollar I pay € 0.72 at the moment (I live in France). It's interesting to me.But it must be compared with the price of current consumption by country ... in France, for € 0.72 I can buy a liter of milk or flour 1,5kg...

Hi, I'm from Germany - for me it's cheep to buy in US or Africa. The dollar is about 70 to 72 cent only. The designs are so expensive here! I wait almost for sale. To prevent myself for addiction (only a little bit, the designs are too cute) I put them first only on the wish list. If they become to discounted designs - sometimes I buy. Often I feel I must have, put them in the wishlist and ..forget. So at the internet are plenty of freebees - I can't stich all out. For this place it's so great to find many designer and cuties are freely sharing and distributing - so many talented artists! Thanks a lot by this way.
I'm sure I can't stitch all out wha I collected - never.

I'm also in Germany and at the moment its for me convenient to buy from USA the only problem is I have an extremely restricted budget so I wait for sales and special offers too and then again some sites are still expensive for me or do sales at inconvenient times but I have far too many designs so its actually not too much of a problem. Thank God there are many generous digitizers out there who supply us with enough freebies no?

I recently purchase some design from embroidery library. I paid via paipal a total of 4.40 USD which cost me £ 2.78 GBP(pound).
For £2 you can buy a pint of beer.

The dollar is good for us in Australia with the USA market at the moment so its a good time to buy those designs that have been sitting in wish lists lol But I must say its a good job we all have hunting the elusive Freebie !!!!!

When I buy a design ,my brain converts the USD in local Mozambique currency and the South African Rand.When I look at what I could buy in Maputo for that money I find it cheap but then look at what I can buy in SA and i find it costly,but in the end the addict wins.

the exchange rate from the UK has been very bad against most currencies making everything suddenly 33 % more expensive. At the moment slightly better. So careful what I buy away from the UK at the moment.

I have to watch it when it comes to buying designs, I have a bad case of the "I want", I see it I want it. But in the past year, I have to watch my money, all our extra money we have goes to our daughter, her ex-husband loss his job, and she is trying to raise our grandsons on $250.00 a week. I know she is having a very hard time, I will put money in her purse when she is picking up her youngest, I watch him so she does not have a babysitting bill.
she has lost the house that her and the ex was buying had 15 years in it. What is really sad it was a 20 year note. The bank would not work with us for her to keep it.
We find her a nice place to move, but it is small for three boys whom had room to run in the old house.
And the boys had to leave friends that they have had for 12 and 9 years. Very hard! Alot of crying.

I did not mean to go on and on about our problems.
